User spotlight

I recieved the most kind e-mail from a user that I would like to share. This captures the very essence of why this site has been created:

“Oh wow — your website is a gift. Many Many Thanks for sharing this with ‘us’. I’m not LDS, but, after everything that has been going on lately I’ve come to realize how very right you folks are about this food storage thing. (I guess as far as food/water/supplies storage goes, I’m a true believer. ;o) For the past couple of days I’ve been researching food and storage and getting my ducks in a row. I’m getting the hang of it, but your site is the best thing I’ve found!!! It clarifies the system in a fantastic straight forward way. I love the interactive aspect too. I’m thrilled. Thank you thank you thank you.

God Bless Us All!!!!

My Very Best,

Pam”

I’m in the same boat with Pam and am looking forward to all of the things listed in the previous post being put into action.

I also think it would be great to have something for expiration dates to aid in rotation…not sure exactly what that would look like, but know it would be helpful.

thanks so much and I look forward to the updates.

We are new to stockpiling. We have been doing it for about 3 years now. We live in a Hurricane area and our stockpiling has really paid off when H. Rita and Ike hit our area. We went for weeks with no power, which means no grocery stores, etc. That is where our stockpile and supplies came in handy. When we started it was my idea and my husband laughed at me and said that you could really tell that I was raised by my grandmother (who survivied the Depression). Well after the last couple of Hurricane seasons, he no longer laughs at me. We were able to keep our family of 12 well feed and taken care of. I am currently working on increasing our supplies and just recently found your website. I think it is wonderful and I am looking forward to additions to the site.

    Happy Stockpiling!!!

Carol, these foods and amounts are the core basics. With the recommended version you can add as many fruits and vegetables as you would like based on your family’s diet!

I’ve added the recommended version and I’ll tell you, it is SO nice to have. I’ve added everything my family uses so it’s easy to keep track of what we need to get and what we already have.
